Teatro Napoletano, Napoli, Italia

  Teatro Napoletano

The primary intention of the site Teatro Napoletano is to make known to a vast public, and not only on a local level, the rich patrimony of Neapolitan and southern Italian theatre which is often little known or even underrated due to questions of critical fortune or choices of an editorial nature.

The Teatro Napoletano archive was founded on January 29 in 2001 under the patronage of the University of Salerno and carried out by a team of young scholars from this university coordinated by Antonia Lezza (professor of Italian theatrical literature). It is an informative resource of an institutional character, free and accessible to everyone, offering bio-bibliographical information,  consultation systems, on-line works, reviews, images, audiovisual materials as well as the latest theatrical news.
