Description The two year Digital Art Curation & Practice project set out to examine, through case studies, 'transitional' activities where galleries are expanding their events to include digital media. The project questioned existing definitions surrounding exhibit, event and performance in order to understand the potential for the future development of digital arts exhibition spaces. Physical_Chat is a digital performance which explores new forms of communication and consciouness generated by models such as chatrooms. In the Digital Cafe' two pre-written narratives will unfold into the virtual spaces of a chatroom. As with any chatroom, the narratives are open to interruption, intervention and confrontation in the physical space. Such interference will be occurring via participating artists.
