Description This document aims to give the reader an idea of the richness of AHDS Performing Arts collections and, in light of AHRC’s decision to cease funding as of March 2008, makes note of the complexity of the resources and the management and preservation challenges they pose. AHDS Performing Arts has hit its stride in collection building. After establishing a Collections Development Strategy in November 2006, the number of completed deposits has risen from 35 to 50, representing a 43% increase in only 6 months. This review covers the 50 collections already deposited as well as those of award holders who have confirmed they’ll deposit at the end of their project. These expected deposits cover awards running to 2010. The holdings were broken down and analysed by type of representation (e.g. images, virtual reality, databases) and collection size.
